As we expand into Dubai, we are looking for an ambitious and driven Business Developer to lead our market entry, establish strong local partnerships, and build the foundation for sustainable growth.
Role Overview
As a Business Developer for our Dubai operations, you will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, building strategic relationships, and driving revenue growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including marketing, tech, product, and operations—to adapt Divar’s offerings to the local market and ensure a successful expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Partnerships
- Identify, approach, and negotiate with key local partners, advertisers, and merchants.
- Build relationships with government entities, industry associations, and local stakeholders to support operations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with product teams to localize features, payment systems, and user experience for the UAE market.
- Coordinate with marketing teams to plan and execute campaigns tailored to Dubai’s audience.
- Operational Support
- Assist in setting up legal, compliance, and operational frameworks for smooth business functioning.
- Provide feedback to improve processes, pricing, and platform offerings.
- Market Research & Strategy
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify opportunities, competitive positioning, and customer needs in Dubai.
- Develop and execute a market entry strategy aligned with Divar’s growth objectives.
Requirements
- Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of Dubai’s business environment, digital economy, and consumer trends.
- Networking: Established connections in relevant industries (real estate, automotive, e-commerce, etc.) preferred.
- Negotiation & Communication: Excellent persuasion, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to assess market data, forecast trends, and translate insights into actionable plans.
- Languages: Fluent in English and Farsi; Arabic is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
Great to have
- Experience in business development, partnerships, or sales, ideally in tech, marketplace, or e-commerce sectors like driving monetization initiatives by onboarding high-value clients and advertisers, monitoring KPIs, tracking market trends, and optimizing growth strategies.
- Residence in or prior experience living in Dubai will be considered an advantage.
