At Divar, we are seeking an experienced and seasoned HSE Consultant to enhance our workplace health and safety to the highest international standards. This is a part-time position, requiring approximately one day per week in the long term. Initially, more time may be needed as we establish and implement improvements.
Responsibilities
- Conducting Individual Health Screenings: Regularly perform health assessments for employees to promote wellness and enable early detection of health issues.
- Identifying Workplace Safety Hazards: Evaluate the office environment to identify potential safety risks and implement corrective measures.
- Developing Safety Policies: Create and update HSE policies and procedures tailored to the office environment, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
- Providing HSE Training: Plan and execute training sessions for employees on HSE topics, including emergency responses, ergonomics, and health promotion.
- Implementing Ergonomic Solutions: Assess workstations and recommend ergonomic adjustments to prevent strain and injury.
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and manage emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and first aid readiness.
- Conducting Safety Audits: Perform regular inspections and audits of the office to ensure continuous compliance with HSE standards.
- Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into any workplace incidents or near misses, identify root causes, and implement preventive actions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on laws and regulations related to HSE and ensure organizational processes comply with all legal requirements.
- Health Promotion Programs: Initiate and manage programs that promote healthy lifestyles among employees, such as health seminars or fitness challenges.
Requirements
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Health, or related fields is required; a Master's degree is considered an advantage.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 10 years of leading experience in HSE roles, with a significant focus on office environments.
- Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or their equivalents.
- Regulatory Knowledge: An in-depth understanding of local and national HSE laws, regulations, and best practices relevant to office environments.
- Training Expertise: Proven experience in developing and delivering effective HSE training programs to diverse audiences.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to assess risks, analyze data from health screenings and safety audits, and develop actionable plans.
- Communication Skills: Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Proactive and resourceful in identifying issues and implementing timely solutions.
- Leadership Qualities: Demonstrated leadership in advancing HSE culture and initiatives within the organization.
- Flexibility: Ability to work part-time with a flexible schedule to meet the organization's needs.
