The Inventory & Assets Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the management of the company's inventory and assets. This role involves monitoring inventory levels, organizing and maintaining physical assets, and implementing efficient processes to track inventory movements and asset utilization. The goal is to minimize losses, optimize asset performance, and support overall supply chain efficiency.
Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory and company assets.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve inventory control systems and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and perform cycle counts to ensure data accuracy.
- Analyze inventory data to forecast future needs, adjust stock levels, and identify potential issues before they arise.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to align inventory requirements with supply chain activities.
Asset Management
- Organize and maintain detailed records of all company assets, including asset lifecycle management from acquisition to disposal.
- Implement asset tracking tools (e.g., ERP systems) to monitor asset utilization and performance.
- Conduct periodic asset audits and inspections to verify physical presence and condition.
- Develop strategies to optimize asset usage and reduce downtime.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency across inventory and asset management operations.
- Ensure all inventory and asset management practices comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare regular reports on inventory status, asset utilization, and related metrics to support decision-making.
Team Coordination & Communication
- Work closely with procurement, logistics, finance, legal and other internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers regarding inventory requirements and asset-related issues.
Operational Requirements
- Be present on-site from 8 AM daily to oversee incoming deliveries (e.g., fruits and other daily purchases) and manage daily operational tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in inventory management or asset management.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and asset tracking tools (e.g., ERP systems).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills for internal collaboration and supplier/vendor management.
- Proven problem-solving capabilities with a proactive approach to process improvement.
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and able to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
