Vice President, International Business & UAE Country Head

A newly established and independent entity headquartered in Dubai is being formed to provide advanced software and AI solutions tailored to the needs of online classifieds platforms. It also aims to enable expansion initiatives in developing and underdeveloped markets. While entirely independent, the entity builds upon years of accumulated industry knowledge, intellectual assets, and operational know-how developed by seasoned experts in the global classifieds sector.

Role Overview

The Vice President will lead both the strategic development of international business and the operational setup of the UAE-based headquarters. The role involves overseeing local activities, structuring the legal and compliance framework, and spearheading international growth—especially through partnerships and technology enablement. This is a rare opportunity to shape a globally-minded, independent organization at its inception. The position reports directly to the Chairman of the Board.

Key Responsibilities

UAE Entity Formation & Management

• Lead the full legal and operational setup of the entity in the UAE.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with UAE and international regulatory frameworks, including sanctions (e.g., OFAC, EU, UAE).
• Build and oversee administrative and operational functions, including office management and vendor relationships.
• Represent the organization in engagements with local government bodies, regulators, and commercial partners.

Global Strategy & Market Enablement

• Leverage accumulated industry expertise, intellectual property, and proven technologies to serve global classifieds businesses.
• Identify and develop partnerships in regions where technology-driven classifieds platforms are underdeveloped or emerging.
• Drive global business development efforts, offering AI and software products through licensing, integrations, or service-based models.
• Support go-to-market strategies that enable regional players to scale and digitize effectively using the entity’s solutions.

Fundraising, Investments & Strategic Partnerships

• Lead international fundraising activities, including crafting investment narratives and engaging with investors and funding institutions.
• Manage financial planning and investment strategy, including strategic acquisitions or collaborations.
• Establish relationships with key global stakeholders, including partners in tech, media, and emerging market ecosystems.
• Represent the entity at international forums, industry events, and policy roundtables.
  

• 4+ years of experience in executive leadership roles in tech, online platforms, or digital marketplaces.
• Deep familiarity with the internet businesses or marketplace industry.
• Demonstrated ability to lead new business ventures or scale independent entities.
• Strong background in regulatory compliance, particularly related to sanctions and international operations.
• Fluent in English; Persian or Arabic is a strong advantage.
