At Divar, we are on a mission to revolutionize the e-commerce landscape, and we seek an innovative and dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to be a vital partner to our Senior Leadership Team (S-Team). We are looking for a strategic leader with a proven track record in driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of high performance. The ideal candidate will have significant industry experience and a strong understanding of the e-commerce domain, having ascended through the ranks to an executive level. This background provides a balanced blend of strategic insight and operational expertise.

 

Key Objectives

  • Collaborate with the S-Team to set and drive the company’s vision and operational strategy.
  • Convert strategic plans into actionable and measurable steps for scaling growth while setting clear organizational goals.
  • Oversee company operations to boost productivity and efficiency, cultivating an inclusive culture where team members thrive.
  • Implement robust professional development programs and strategies for effective performance management and team retention.
  • Ensure compliance with all national and local regulations, adeptly addressing any challenges.

 

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Operations: Refine and enhance internal operations, identifying and implementing process improvements to support scalability and efficiency.
  • Business Strategy Execution: Align business strategies with Divar’s long-term objectives, participating in the development and execution of organization-wide operational plans.
  • Oversight and Management: Lead operations, HR, and accounting functions; collaborate closely with teams to optimize resource allocation for achieving growth targets and profitability.
  • Financial Stewardship: Ensure prudent capital investment and expense management to meet investor expectations while driving sustained growth.
  • Performance Monitoring: Utilize data-driven tracking tools to monitor operational performance, initiating corrective actions as needed, and delivering comprehensive updates and forecasts to stakeholders.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and other crucial stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role within the tech and e-commerce industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to develop and implement effective strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise in financial management and operational optimization.
