Responsibilities 

  • Administer and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers and systems
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address any issues to minimize downtime and ensure maximum efficiency,
  • Install, configure, and upgrade software, hardware, and operating systems as needed,
  • Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices,
  • Provide technical support to layer 1 support (Helpdesks)
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights to ensure data security and privacy,
  • Conduct regular system backups and implement disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data,
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and protocols, identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing appropriate measures,
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in IT systems administration.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems (MCSE and LPIC1 equivalent)
  • Experience with virtualization environment (vSphere)
  • Experience with scripting (Bash, Powershell)
  • Experience with monitoring systems (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Experience with SAN Storage equipments
  • Familiarity with network (Network+ equivalent)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure,
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and end-users

Great to have

  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform)
  • Experience in a Cloud platform (AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with containerized workloads
  • Experience with web servers (Nginx, IIS)
  • Experience with Cisco switches (CCNA equivalent)
  • Experience with Fortinet firewalls (NSE4 equivalent)
  • Experience with Mikrotik routers (MTCNA equivalent)
