Some days are more special
Creating and maintaining a friendly and congenial atmosphere in the workplace is an important priority for Divar. We take certain occasions during the year to celebrate together and look back on our accomplishments. Occasions such as Nowruz (the Persian New Year), Yalda (the Winter Solstice), and the anniversary of Divar’s founding are great opportunities for us to come together.
Internal events
Summer Camp, An opportunity for the less experienced
Providing opportunities for talented and capable people who have limited professional experience has been a key priority for the Hezardastan Group. To advance these efforts, Hezardastan holds a Summer Camp. Four of these four-day events have already been held with two of them being hosted by Divar. They feature courses for talented and motivated people who, after passing an entrance exam, will be trained by Divar staff and some may be asked to join Divar. Past Summer Camp courses have been held in fields such as software engineering, front-end engineering, and data analysis.
Hackathon, Workdays that are a bit different
At Divar, there is an opportunity for the staff to present their creative new ideas while improving other skills, research capacities, teamwork, and time and project management. The Hackathon also presents an opportunity to dispense with day-to-day responsibilities and pursue interesting new ideas. In this event, which is held over three days, Divar staff from different departments and sections are encouraged to form teams and work on new ideas that would improve Divar products and internal processes. At the end of the event, the winning team will be elected by the competition’s jury.
The Wednesdayers, a Q&A hour
On the first Wednesday of every month, we hold an event at Divar where our staff comes together to ask questions, raise concerns, speak freely and share what is on their minds. In this event, all colleagues can ask Divar’s senior managers about new decisions, strategies, and initiatives.
